In the upper part (1) the "three heroines" are first of all "scattered"; (2) "The 'three heroines' are attacked from all sides, yet still achieve their goal"; (3) the "emergency landing" is followed by the headquarters' staff on the radio. In the lower part there is a note about a speech by Kalinin, presumably on the occasion of the reception of the three Soviet heroines in the capital of Moscow. | ||

Comments: | Three women aviators, who are involved in the one first non-stop overland flight to the Far East, crash in the Taiga, a search is undertaken for them and they are finally found. The editing emphasis their triumphant homecoming, firstly in Chabarovsk and then in Moscow, thus making one forget about what had nearly been a catastrophe. The film is a masterpiece of cinematic translation of communication, transport and technology. |
