Iz predislovija k poėme "Vižu" (Aus dem Vorwort zum Poem "Ich sehe")

||
Like a theatre play, the dialogues in this preface are devided up into several roles, which include Vertov himself and an "ironic choir". There is an attribution: "Dziga Vertov: Laboratory of Hearing, 1917". | ||

Comments: | The production of the transcript can nevertheless be dated to 1926, since a reference to the films "Kinoglaz" (1924) and "Šestaja čast' mira" (1926) has been added at the end of the text. The "I see" becomes an ostentatious meta-intertitle in "Šestaja čast' mira"; the form of the first person singular - intended is the "I" of the Kino-Eye - was retained by Vertov even in the "Artistic Calling Card" which he wrote in 1947. Aleksandr Derjabin dates this poem to the end of the 1940's (1947-1949), because the style is that of the "later Vertov". |
